26th June was a fantastic festival of play for 200 adults at the fabulous

Lordship Rec Hub in Tottenham.

A multi-faceted day exploring the valuable role of play.

At a small pilot event we produced last year on London Fields. 100 people participated and had an incredible experience, sharing in the pay offs of playing together: happiness, new community and self expression. We'll be putting on more events over the Autumn and Winter, keep in touch with us form more details

Fifteen years ago, Cheryl had a revelation. She thought; what makes us happy? The answer, play makes us happy. So why as adults don't we play?  She sat on the idea for far too long whilst life got in the way.

Caroline had similar ideas about play enriching our lives.

She put on an amazing play event in 2015 on London Fields..

Together they plan to make play a part of our everyday lives.

OUR STORY

THE DAY

"I think that play is an amazing way of overcoming awkwardness between strangers and building trust. It releases tension and explores boundaries in a safe environment. Ideas can be offered and explored

with no fear of rejection."

"I really felt the energy of the group change from the start of the session to the end of the session.  There was a strong sense of community and people seemed a lot more relaxed and at the same time energised at the end of the session.  I really felt it was a valuable hour spent sharing and playing and above all laughing and enjoying connecting with strangers through play."

"What do most Nobel Laureates, innovative entrepreneurs, artists and performers, well-adjusted children, happy couples and families, and the most successfully adapted mammals have in common? They play enthusiastically throughout their lives."
